THE ROLE OF THE NURSE MANAGER IN FRONT OF BURNOUT SYNDROME IN NURSING PROFESSIONALS

This work collaborates with the science and academy through knowledge explained throughout the article. The research presents a theme of great relevance, since Burnout is not uncommon in health units. The nursing service, both for technicians and nurses, is an exhausting task that demands a lot of attention, long working hours, little rest, frustration on some occasions, and, sometimes, low salaries that end up making these professionals have to have more than one job. Nurses and nursing technicians deal with patients with different conditions on a daily basis. Therefore, the research aims to verify how Burnout affects the quality of life of nursing professionals. To this end, the work reflects who these professionals are. It also presents Burnout and provides an approach to the treatment and prevention of the latter, as well as strategies that the nurse manager can have when dealing with this illness. The work was carried out through a literature review. Authors such as Rodrigues (2019), Varela (2014) websites such as the Ministry of Health (2023) and Coren-GO (2014) were used as a research source.
