SELECTIVIDAD ALIMENTARIA DENTRO DE LAS DISFUNCIONES DE INTEGRACIÓN SENSORIAL

La alimentación, como forma de explorar y experimentar el mundo, es una habilidad compleja que abarca numerosos factores, como las relaciones parentales, las preferencias personales, la etapa de vida, los hábitos alimenticios familiares, las condiciones de salud, el contexto sociocultural, el nivel de desarrollo, los aspectos orofaciales y también el procesamiento sensorial. Este estudio investiga la relación entre la selectividad alimentaria y las disfunciones de integración sensorial en un individuo. Se trata de un estudio cualitativo basado en un estudio de caso, realizado mediante observaciones clínicas y entrevistas, donde se identificaron patrones de comportamiento alimentario que reflejan desafíos sensoriales. Resultados: Se identificó el surgimiento de la selectividad alimentaria a partir de disfunciones de integración sensorial. Tras estímulos y regulación, se observaron los primeros signos de aceptación de alimentos. Conclusión: Se necesitan más estudios que confirmen esta relación entre disfunción y selectividad alimentaria
