Resumen

Also known as Chronic Non-progressive Encephalopathy, Cerebral Palsy is considered a congenital disorder of movement, muscle tone or posture. It occurs due to abnormal brain development, often before birth. Transcranial direct current stimulation (ETCC) is a form of neuro stimulation that uses low electrical current and continues to be emitted directly into the brain area of interest, through small electrodes. ETCC is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that, through an electrical current in which it is applied to the skull using electrodes, makes it possible to facilitate the brain environment, so that it becomes more favorable to neuron activation, or we can make it difficult this brain environment so that it becomes more hypoactive, then there is a difficulty in brain activation. ETCC is a technique currently used in the pediatric area and there is a large amount of scientific evidence of this technique performed in patients with cerebral palsy (CP). ETCC has this effect on patients with CP because it directly affects brain structures, promoting plastic changes in a focal, painless manner and with a wide safety limit. With the practice of kinesiotherapy, it is possible to reduce oscillations, increase in movement speed, length of steps and strides during gait during a 20- minute consultation. An improvement in gait is obtained and the effects were obtained after a month of rehabilitation protocol. Therefore, ETCC is a technique that has been shown to be extremely effective and safe, when properly applied
