BENEFITS OF THE RUSSIAN CURRENT IN THE TREATMENT OF ABDOMINAL FLACIDITY IN THE POST-DELIVERY

The studies indicate that one of the biggest dissatisfactions of postpartum women is abdominal flaccidity and as a non-invasive procedure, the Russian Current has been adopted with proven protocols for strengthening and muscle tone. The main objective of the present study was to understand the benefits of electrostimulation or Russian Current in the treatment of abdominal flaccidity and diastasis in the postpartum period. For the present study, the theoretical methodology was adopted in order to reach the proposed objectives. As for the media, this is a bibliographic review research. As for the ends, it is a descriptive research. The surveys included books, articles, electronic journals and academic sites. Due to the dynamics of the subject that constantly changes. In this sense, the research demonstrated that although there is controversy regarding the efficacy of the Russian Current in postpartum, there are case studies that confirm its effectiveness in toning the abdominal muscles in both cases of sagging and diastasis. Part of this conception is the importance of the physiotherapist working in the treatment and monitoring of the use of this resource, given that it has adequate training, knowledge of the physiological structures and the appropriate methodology to evaluate each case and thus apply the best electrostimulation techniques adapt to the woman's needs to strengthen her abdominal muscles and acquire the necessary therapy in a noninvasive way.
