Resumen

This article aims to describe the concept of Type 1 Infant Diabetes Mellitus, addressing the symptoms, the most significant characteristics of childhood diabetes, the diagnosis, treatment and emotional consequences that children and family face in this situation and in such a way. , as pharmaceutical professionals can assist them in coping with the psychological effects of the disease. Given the repercussions that this chronic disease brings, this article raised bibliographic data to support reflections on the emotional aspects experienced by diabetic children. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, a qualitative and descriptive study of the present study was carried out, and a literature search was carried out regarding the technical procedures.
