Resumen

Amputation is characterized by withdrawal of a limb, whether traumatic or surgical. This can bring complications to the affected individual. These individuals should be accompanied by a specialized multidisciplinary team, composed of a physiotherapist responsible for the rehabilitation of this patient, seeking a better quality of life through treatment programs to relieve and desensitize the symptoms of the stump, such as pain and limb ghosts, seeking a better quality of life, besides adapting it to the use of a possible prosthesis. Further studies should be performed with these patients to evaluate more efficient methods in order to better desensitize the amputation stump
