Resumen

Diabetes is a disease that affects many people daily, the nanotechnological medicines aim at a greater convenience and therapeutic efficiency to patients, due to the resulting problems now existing was observed the need for a more selective drug and that obtain little side effects to the patient. The nanotechnology of biopharmaceuticals in the treatment of patients with type I and type II diabetes is something innovative and with broad benefits, scientifically proven. The central objective of the work is to understand the advances and benefits of using nanotechnology in the production of biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of patients with diabetes, identifying the nanotechnological processes and steps involved in advancing the production of biopharmaceuticals. It is a bibliographic review of articles published between the years 2015 and 2020. The use of biotechnological drugs besides being innovative has become fundamental for the effectiveness of a successful treatment mainly in patients with diabetes. Biotechnology has been able to change the course of diabetes treatment, with the inclusion of injectable insulin that goes beyond the use of oral alternatives. Nanotechnology organizes the atomic level of drugs making their effectiveness more complete and faster, being able to act directly on the target site, minimizing the possible risks and side effects of the disease, thus extending the life of the patient and reducing the multiple effects due to the ingestion of drugs that directly affect the body of the patient without any effectiveness treatment. The biopharmaceuticals have gained more space in the treatment of diseases with greater complexity, research in this field is just beginning, there is a wide variety of treatment that can be contemplated with the biological ones. Over the years the industry has seen a great advantage in investing in research and production, the most developed countries have used biotechnology on a large scale. The investments in this field allow the entry of more sectors for biotechnology, in addition to financial growth. This significant advance tends to grow more and more with the involvement of researchers, industries and especially the government.
