The inefficiency of public policies focused on basic sanitation is one of the major factors contributing to the incidence of parasitosis and verminosis in humans. It is known that children are more susceptible to intestinal parasites, due to the lack of knowledge of the basic principles of hygiene and other factors. In view of this study, this study seeks to raise and describe the characteristics of intestinal parasites and identify them in neighborhoods in the city of Teófilo Otoni, in order to expose the relationship of the risk of contamination due to lack of hygiene and basic sanitation.
