The Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a peripheral neuropathy, which presents a median nerve compression, which has several causes, but is common during a gestation due to hormonal variation. This article aims to perform a literary review on carpal tunnel syndrome in pregnant women, describing the anatomy and biomechanics of the wrist and hand complex, emphasizing the effect of neural mobilization. This study is a descriptive study with a type of design in a bibliographic research through a review of the scientific literature. Inclusion criteria were studies between the years 2007 and 2017, which were in Portuguese and English language available in full. In the analyzed studies, there were improvements in the symptoms, pincer movements and hand function with the use of neural mobilization, being a technique indicated as the treatment of CTS in pregnant woman, however, more studies are needed on the neural mobilization associated with other techniques, because this can potentiate the benefits.
