LA INFLUENCIA DE LA PERIODONTITIS EN EL PERIODO GESTACIONAL: UNA APROXIMACIÓN A LA INTERACCIÓN DE LA MICROBIOTA

El estudio tiene como objetivo dilucidar cómo la microbiota de la periodontitis afecta el estado gestacional. Por lo tanto, las bacterias involucradas se presentan sistemáticamente, generando complicaciones a la salud femenina y riesgo para el feto, a través de hipertensión y preeclampsia, siendo necesario evaluar el trimestre del embarazo para proceder con los tratamientos adecuados. Para ello, se utilizaron artículos en portugués, inglés y chino, en la cronología de 2013 a 2024, excluyendo cartas al editor, resúmenes de congresos y artículos duplicados en las bases de datos PubMed, SciELO y BVS. los descriptores utilizados fueron: “periodontitis”, “embarazo” y “placenta”. En conclusión, algunos estudios han demostrado cómo las bacterias que permanecen a nivel de las bolsas periodontales se propagan al torrente sanguíneo a través de las inervaciones que llegan al ápice periodontal, produciendo un aumento de la presión arterial, además de invadir la placenta y estimular el parto prematuro, planteando. un gran riesgo para la salud de la mujer y su feto.
