Fibromyalgia is a pathology considered a complex and heterogeneous syndrome whose main attribute is chronic, widespread musculoskeletal pain that is described in several ways. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies in the management of fibromyalgia. This study was an integrative literature review conducted on the BVS, SCIELO, PUBMED and LILACS databases. Studies that justify the theme and were published between 2015 and 2025 were selected, with the aim of contributing to the literature on the present title. After searching the articles and reading them in full, 7 articles were selected to fit the theme and objective to compose this review. As a chronic pain syndrome, fibromyalgia has a significant negative impact on the quality of life of patients. There are several drug options for the clinical control of the. disease. Among the most common pharmacological measures, the use of analgesics, muscle relaxants, tricyclic antidepressants, selective norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake inhibitors, hypnotics and antipsychotics, anticonvulsants and cannabinoids stands out. Therefore, the study made it possible to understand the findings of commonly prescribed antifibromyalgia medications. In addition to conventional approaches, active and passive therapies have demonstrated varying efficacy in reducing the intensity of immediate and short-term pain.References
