A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA FISIOTERAPIA NO TRATAMENTO DA ATROFIA MUSCULAR ESPINHAL (AME): REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

The study's central objective is to address Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and the importance of physiotherapist intervention in the treatment, considering that it is a rare genetic disease that causes progressive muscle weakness. The physiotherapist plays a crucial role in treatment, helping to maintain muscle function, prevent complications and improve patients' quality of life. To this end, an integrative literature review was carried out, in which complete and original studies were used, with a time frame from 2014 to 2024, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The databases, PubMed, SciELO, VHL and websites of the federative entity were used as a research source.
