Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify the frequent injuries in Olympic wrestling practitioners and the possibility of recovery with a few sessions of Physical Therapy using the Seitai and Shiatsu methods. Identify common injuries in practitioners Wrestling. This study is based on a literature review, using articles related injuries in the sport in question papers. Results: The most frequently reported injuries were in the lower limbs (30.2%), upper limbs (28.7%), trunk (16.9%) and head / neck (16.9%); the most affected sites were the knee (30.6%), shoulder (18.6%), ankle (10.9%), skin infection (9.9%) and thigh (8.2%); Frequent diagnoses in practitioners of the sport are sprains (17.9%), dislocations (12.3%), fractures (6.6%) and contusions (4.3%). Conclusions: Injuries of the locomotor system are frequent in practicing wrestling, the most affected members depend on the style of Wrestling practitioner in the free style wrestlers have higher incidence in the lower limbs, as practitioners of Greco-Roman style have higher incidence of lesions of the head and members. The possibility of recovery with a few physiotherapy sessions, using the oriental methodology of SEITAI and SHIATSU, still unknown in the sports environment, is a reality proven with other patients.
