Abstract

The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases is a public health issue that affects about 30% of the adult population worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition to this, there has also been an increase in indications for cardiovascular procedures and the need for the improvement of modern and minimally invasive techniques such as the hemodynamic intervention method. This method is a safe and effective option for both diagnosis and therapy for patients undergoing cardiology procedures. Considering the relevance of these data, the objective of this research is to assess the epidemiological profile for cardiovascular diseases, associated risk factors, and the relationship of catheterization indications in a specific population.
