General data protection law and consumer law

The theme of this work is the General Data Protection Law and consumer law, with the general objective of analyzing the requirements of the General Data Protection Law that directly influence the scope of Consumer Law. The research problem is concerned with answering the following question: is there effective application of the General Data Protection Law within the scope of consumer law? To develop the research, the bibliographic review method was used, through books, research, theses, dissertations and the like. To this end, data were collected through a literature review, with research on doctrines, journals and academic works from the period 2010-2023, taken from electronic sources, such as SciELO and Pubmed, applicable to the proposed topic, using as descriptive the words “LGPD”, “Consumer Rights”; “data protection”, with a qualitative approach. The choice of this topic is justified by the need to demonstrate the importance of the General Data Protection Law in the scope of Consumer Law, as the Law had been recently updated, and caused important impacts with regard to consumer protection. The conclusion reached is that the General Data Protection Law brought new determinations to consumer law and, when properly used by suppliers, there is effective application of them in consumer law, and it is important that suppliers are aware of the determinations contained in the LGPD.

INTERPERSONAL CONFLICTS IN THE ORGANIZATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

We can say that the conflict is already natural to the human being and is increasingly present in
our personal life with family friends as in our professional life in the service environment. We
will address in this article the management of these conflicts, with emphasis on the impacts
caused by them, and the result that brings somehow in organizations. In this way we will
address the problem of how interpersonal relationships and their conflicts influence the
organizational environment. We can already say that it is important to know that the behavior
of people influences the environment in which they live. Behaviors reflect company results,
whether negative or positive, depending on the relationship within the industry. In the
workplace everything can happen, that is, everything can influence people's behavior and, as a
consequence, influence in interpersonal relationships and probably in the results of companies,
in every sense. The human being is made of the environment in which he lives, and which is
generated by basic needs, which motivate or not to perform certain tasks, whether physiological
needs or psychological needs, impetus to realize their potential, be in continuous self-
development. We will address this issue by focusing on discussing conflicts, people, and
organization, seeking to show the caudate impacts and how to make these conflicts in a way
that becomes constructive for organizations.

USE OF ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND ANXIOLYTICS POST PANDEMIC AND THEIR IMPACTS: LITERATURE REVIEW

COVID-19 is a severe acute respiratory syndrome that requires a clinical picture of asymptomatic infections to severe conditions. Thus, it is believed that this pandemic caused a global increase in disorders such as depression and anxiety. As a result, the search for relief from symptoms of anxiety and depression through medication increased. to analyze the increased use of antidepressants and anxiolytics in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period and its impacts on society. The research was an integrative review. The selection of articles was carried out with emphasis on the Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, through the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs) database; the Scientific Electronic Library Online (ScIELO), was carried out involving the combined descriptors using Boolean operators: AND and OR, and Health Sciences Descriptors (DECS). After searching the databases, 8 articles were selected to conduct the results and discussions. In the post-pandemic period, there was an increase in the use of psychotropic medications, which can be attributed to the growing awareness and recognition of mental health disorders in society. Prescription rates for antidepressants and anxiolytics increased significantly during the pandemic, reflecting a growing need for mental health support among the population. Conclusion: The work concludes by showing that the use of anxiolytics and antidepressants increased significantly during the pandemic and post-pandemic periods, which had a series of consequences that affected people's mental health, which led to the search for medicalization.

IMPACTO DAS MUDANÇAS CLIMÁTICAS NA DRENAGEM URBANA

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar os impactos das mudanças climáticas sobre os sistemas de drenagem urbana, com foco nas alterações no regime de chuvas e aumento da frequência de eventos extremos. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de revisão bibliográfica, permitindo observar os principais desafios enfrentados pela infraestrutura urbana diante da intensificação dos eventos hidrológicos. Os resultados evidenciam a necessidade de estratégias adaptativas integradas ao planejamento urbano, considerando soluções baseadas na natureza, infraestrutura verde e reestruturação do sistema de drenagem. O trabalho contribui para o debate técnico e científico sobre a resiliência das cidades frente às mudanças climáticas.

TRANSIÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL PARA O ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: O QUE AS CRIANÇAS PENSAM ACERCA DE SUAS EXPERIÊNCIAS E VIVÊNCIAS NO PRIMEIRO ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL – PESQUISA DE CAMPO EM UMA ESCOLA PÚBLICA MUNICIPAL DE LINHARES-ES

This article seeks to understand how the transition from Early Childhood Education to Elementary School happens, with an emphasis on the perspective of the children who experience this moment. The research was conducted in a public school in Linhares, Espírito Santo, involving students in the first year of Elementary School. Interviews were conducted to address topics such as the physical structure of the school, the feeling of belonging, the emotions experienced, and the relationship with the subject. During this study period, it was noticeable that, although many children showed joy and happiness with this new stage, we also noticed insecurities, fears, and longing for their old routine/school. We also observed that the distancing from playful practices and the demand for results can end up making it difficult for students to adapt. Therefore, we emphasize the importance of a sensitive welcome on the part of teachers, as well as the maintenance of some Early Childhood Education practices in the first years of Elementary School. Based on listening to the children, the work will point out ways for this transition to be carried out more smoothly, respecting each child's time and favoring a positive school experience. Therefore, more than just fulfilling a curriculum, it is of utmost importance that the school is committed to the well-being and development of students from the first steps in the new stage of schooling.

DIREITO DOS PACIENTES TERMINAIS: LIMITES E POSSIBILIDADES DA ORTOTANÁSIA E EUTANÁSIA NO BRASIL

This scientific article aims to discuss the rights of terminally ill patients in light of the legal limits and
possibilities of orthotanasia and euthanasia in the Brazilian legal system. The analysis is based on a
qualitative and exploratory approach, based on a bibliographic and documentary review, addressing
the fundamental concepts, the bioethical principles involved, the current legislation and the ethical
and legal discussions on the end of life. In a context where advances in medicine allow for the artificial
prolongation of life, there is a need to discuss respect for human dignity, patient autonomy and the
right to die with dignity. It is concluded that orthotanasia finds greater legal and ethical acceptance in
Brazil, being supported by resolutions of the Federal Council of Medicine, while euthanasia is still
considered a crime, although it is constantly being debated in law and society.

INFLUENCE OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON THE MANAGEMENT OF ACCOUNTING BUSINESS MODELS

The objective of this study was to analyze the influence of organizational culture on the management of accounting business models. To this end, three specific objectives were defined: to characterize the management present in the offices analyzed, to identify the cultural dimensions that influence these organizations, and to propose an alignment between current management and the cultural perceptions identified. The research, of a descriptive and qualitative nature, was conducted through four cases, with different business models (two traditional and two digital). Seventeen questions based on cultural dimensions were analyzed, applied to the employees of the organizations through a questionnaire, in addition to management practices reported by managers through semi-structured interviews. The data were tabulated and interpreted through frequency analysis and categorization. The main results indicated that organizational culture significantly influences the management of accounting business models. In traditional models, there is a focus on standards and stability, while digital models prioritize innovation and flexibility. Cultural dimensions, such as control and openness, shape organizational practices and decisions. In the proposed alignment, it was recommended that traditional models adopt greater flexibility and inclusion, and digital models strengthen governance practices and formal recognition. The study contributes to the understanding of how to align management practices with cultural dimensions, promoting organizational efficiency and adaptability, especially in a sector undergoing transformation such as accounting.

INDICADORES DE SUSTENTABILIDADE EMPRESARIAL E O MERCADO FINANCEIRO NO BRASIL: UMA ANÁLISE ESTATÍSTICA COMPARATIVA DA RELAÇÃO RISCO E RETORNO NO PERÍODO 2006 A 2021

Despite the existence of several systems related to sustainability assessment, there are several elements that are not yet properly studied and developed. In the context of sustainable finance and its sustainability indicators, this research carries out a comparative analysis of the following corporate sustainability indices: Dow Jones Index (DJI), Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI), FTSE 100, FTSE4FGOOD Global Index, IBOVESPA and the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE). As main results it was identified that the series of returns of the sustainability indices, in the long term, oscillate around an average seeking a statistical balance. In addition, when evaluating the comparison between the indices of the same market, through the same profitability parameter, to a risk-free scenario, it was concluded that there is a better performance for the indices constituted by companies that guide its actions and businesses in sustainability.

AS CONSEQUÊNCIAS DO ARMAMENTO E DO DESARMAMENTO NA SOCIEDADE BRASILEIRA

This study intends to discuss the policy of disarmament and civil armament implemented in Brazil for more than 20 years and its consequences. Today's Disarmament Regulations and Their Reflection. Initially, the work will analyze the social and cultural history of disarmament in the country, then we will discuss how the current regulations, and how they deal with this topic. The reflection of civil disarmament in statistics before and after its implementation will be addressed below, focus will also be given to the current and constant attacks on Brazilian schools and how such crimes may be linked to the lack of control over the accountability of firearms ownership. Finally, the study will bring an analysis of the ideology behind the policy and its reflection in the mainstream media. Regarding the advantages of research, this will occur by induction. Therefore, the text will analyze the legislative norms, doctrines, articles, books and statistics of the main source of news to understand the entire process of implementation of the Civil Disarmament Law in the national homeland. Therefore, it is intended to point out the efficiency of the underprivileged as a decrease in public security policies designed to reduce the use of weapons, as well as the harm caused by the indiscriminate use of artifacts. We will also generally smooth out the murder rate and crime statistics in recent years.

THE CHALLENGES OF NURSING PROFESSIONALS IN IMPLEMENTING PALLIATIVE CARE IN HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS

The formation of a multidisciplinary team is vital to ensuring integrated and personalized care that meets the complex needs of patients. With the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, the demand for palliative care in adult clinical units has grown, making it imperative to identify these needs early. Clear and empathetic communication between professionals, patients, and families is essential for aligning expectations and facilitating decision-making. Additionally, emotional support plays a crucial role in overcoming the challenges faced in the hospital environment. In summary, the effectiveness of palliative care depends on the competence of professionals, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective communication. Investing in research and continuous training of healthcare professionals is essential to improve these practices, ensuring increasingly humanized care that meets the needs of patients and their families.

LEVANTAMENTO DE MANIFESTAÇÕES PATOLÓGICAS EM PAVIMENTO ASFÁLTICO NA RODOVIA TO-460

O presente artigo avaliou as condições de preservação do revestimento asfáltico da rodovia TO-460 em um segmento de quatorze quilômetros. O artigo de caráter descritivo e com abordagem qualiquantitativa, adotou a avaliação objetiva da superfície, conforme as diretrizes da norma do departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transporte (DNIT) 006/2003-PRO. O mapeamento identificou o desgaste superficial como a manifestação patológica mais prevalente, seguido por trincas isoladas, ondulações, buracos e reparos na camada asfáltica. Com base no cálculo do Índice de Gravidade Global (IGG), O trecho foi enquadrado na categoria ‘ruim’, registrando um resultado de 99,565, o que demanda intervenções com o objetivo de restabelecer condições adequadas de circulação e segurança. As principais causas dos danos estão deterioração dos insumos, à ação do trânsito e à ausência de manutenção preventiva. Indica-se a adoção de procedimentos conservativos, incluindo microrrevestimento, selagem superficial ou recapeamento para mitigar os defeitos identificados e aumentar a longevidade da pista.

GEOSSINTÉTICOS INTELIGENTES EM BARRAGENS: UM PANORAMA DAS INOVAÇÕES NO MONITORAMENTO E PREVENÇÃO DE RISCOS

Geosynthetics have been widely used in engineering, performing essential functions such as reinforcement, filtration, drainage and waterproofing. Since their origin in the 1950s, these materials have evolved significantly, incorporating innovative technologies such as fiber optic sensors that allow real-time monitoring of critical structures such as dams. This review addresses the classification, applications and technological advances of geosynthetics, with an emphasis on their use in dams and the benefits of intelligent solutions compared to traditional monitoring methods. Geosynthetics are classified as geotextiles (woven, non-woven and knitted), geogrids, geomembranes, geotubes and geocomposites, each with specific properties for different applications. They also make it possible to build steeper slopes and stabilize soils with low load-bearing capacity, optimizing costs and efficiency. The integration of fiber optic (FO) sensors into geosynthetics represents a significant advance, allowing early detection of deformations, pressure variations and other structural risks. These “smart geotextiles” offer greater precision and reliability than traditional systems. It is concluded that smart geosynthetics are a promising solution for modern engineering, combining efficiency, sustainability and continuous monitoring. Investments in research and development are essential to expand their application, contributing to safer and more resilient infrastructures. This review paper discusses the applications of geosynthetics in dams, with an emphasis on emerging real-time monitoring technologies. In addition, existing challenges are addressed, such as the need for specific standards for quality control and further research into the durability of geosynthetics in extreme conditions.

INDIGENOUS SCHOOL EDUCATION: INTERCULTURAL, BILINGUAL, SPECIFIC, AND DIFFERENTIATED IN THE CONTEXT OF PUBLIC POLICIES IN ITACOATIARA – AM

This research aimed to analyze Indigenous school education in Itacoatiara, focusing on its legal

precepts and its relationship with public policies regarding the provision and implementation of this

educational modality. It sought to answer the following questions: How are the principles of

intercultural, bilingual, specific, and differentiated Indigenous school education presented within the

context of the municipality’s educational policies? What discourses emerge in the relationship

between what is legally established and what is actually implemented? The study also aimed to

understand whether the policies developed by SEMED/Itacoatiara recognize the need for specific,

differentiated, and quality Indigenous education, and whether there are practical conflicts and

contradictions to be overcome. The research followed a qualitative approach, using semi-structured

interviews with coordinators and pedagogues from SEMED, as well as teachers working in schools

located in Indigenous territories in the Rio Urubu communities. The interviews were conducted via

video calls due to challenges encountered during the data collection period. The scientific initiation

project titled “Intercultural, Bilingual, Specific, and Differentiated Indigenous School Education in the

Context of Public Policies in Itacoatiara-AM” primarily aimed to identify the existing challenges to

promoting quality Indigenous education, respecting the cultural and linguistic specificities of these

communities. The data revealed normative advancements, but also significant gaps between legal

guidelines and the realities experienced by the communities. This research contributes to the debate

on the implementation of equitable Indigenous school education, emphasizing ethnic diversity and

ensuring the rights of Indigenous peoples.

FATORES ALIMENTARES ASSOCIADOS À OBESIDADE EM CRIANÇAS DE 0 A 2 ANOS DE IDADE: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA

The objective of this review is to analyze the dietary factors associated with obesity in Brazilian children aged 0 to 2 years. This is a narrative review in which 906 studies were initially identified in the databases. After reading titles and abstracts and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 studies were selected for analysis. The review gathered evidence from Brazilian studies published between 2018 and 2022 that address dietary factors associated with childhood obesity in this age group. The included studies had sample sizes ranging from 22 to 14,326 children. The results showed a high prevalence of inadequate dietary practices, with an emphasis on the early introduction of ultraprocessed foods before six months of age. Early cessation of exclusive breastfeeding was also identified, with the early introduction of other foods and liquids in the first months of life. This study highlighted that inadequate dietary practices in the first two years of life are strongly associated with the risk of childhood obesity in Brazil. The early introduction of ultraprocessed foods and weaning before six months, contrary to the recommendations for exclusive breastfeeding, are critical factors that compromise healthy growth and favor the development of chronic diseases throughout life.

EXERCISE-INDUCED HYPOALGESIA IN KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS: A NARRATIVE REVIEW

Knee osteoarthritis is a degenerative inflammatory joint disease that leads to progressive damage to the cartilage, generating pain, functional disability, and is expected to increase due to population aging. Physical exercise is considered an important ally in people with this clinical condition, acting in the management of pain and improvement of physical function. In healthy individuals, a single exercise session is capable of promoting exercise-induced hypoalgesia (EHI), through which the pain threshold increases, reducing sensitivity to pain during exercise and for some time afterwards. However, in populations with chronic pain, such as knee osteoarthritis, this mechanism is compromised and may not present changes or even intensify after exercise, making treatment of this population difficult and contributing to a cycle of physical inactivity that will result in the worsening of the disease. Therefore, it is essential to understand how EHI works and why it may be impaired in people with knee osteoarthritis. In this article, we demonstrate an overview of the clinical condition of knee osteoarthritis, providing better guidance for the population and health professionals in pain management.

IMPACTO DAS CONSULTAS FARMACÊUTICAS NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA DOS PACIENTES – Uma Revisão da Literatura

INTRODUÇÃO: A utilização inadequada de medicamentos pode acarretar sérias consequências para a saúde pública, sendo uma das principais causas de internações hospitalares e comprometendo a qualidade de vida dos pacientes. A orientação farmacêutica, nesse contexto, desempenha um papel crucial, pois não apenas educa, mas também motiva os pacientes a assumirem responsabilidade sobre sua própria saúde. OBJETIVO: Descrever nas evidências cientificas o impacto das consultas farmacêuticas na qualidade de vida dos pacientes.METODOLOGIA: Foi realizada uma busca sistemática nas bases de dados BVS (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) e PubMed, utilizando os descritores Consulta Framacêutica; Qualidade de vida e Consultório farmacêutico. Os critérios de inclusão serão: artigos científicos relacionados ao tema, disponíveis em português ou inglês, com texto completo acessível e publicados entre os anos de 2019 a 2024. Por outro lado, serão excluídos teses, dissertações, trabalhos de conclusão de curso e outros artigos de revisão. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO: Para comporto essa revisão são apresentadas informações a respeito dos 7 artigos contidos na discussão desta revisão de literatura. As consultas farmacêuticas têm ganhado destaque na atenção à saúde, especialmente no cuidado a pacientes com doenças crônicas, como hipertensão, diabetes e dislipidemias. Estudos apontam que esse serviço impacta positivamente a qualidade de vida dos pacientes ao promover melhor adesão ao tratamento, reduzir eventos adversos e facilitar o controle clínico de diversas condições. CONCLUSÃO: Este estudo por meio da literatura cientifica foi desenvolvido e sendo possível concluir que o profissional farmacêutico é essencial para a saúde dos pacientes. NURSING PERFORMANCE IN PREVENTING HOSPITAL INFECTIONS IN INTENSIVE CARE UNITS: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) represent a serious public health problem, especially in high-complexity hospital settings such as Intensive Care Units (ICUs). These infections, which can be caused by various pathogens, lead to increased mortality, with higher prevalence in ICUs due to patients' immunological fragility and the high number of invasive procedures, prolonged hospitalizations, and elevated hospital costs, highlighting the need for effective preventive measures. The nursing staff plays a crucial role in preventing HAIs, emphasizing the importance of practices such as proper hand hygiene, maintaining aseptic procedures, and correct use of invasive devices. A literature review has shown that the implementation of national programs and the efforts of Hospital Infection Control Committees (CCIH) have contributed to the reduction of HAIs. However, challenges persist, especially in middle- and low-income countries where infection rates remain high. Continuous training of the multidisciplinary team and strict adherence to preventive measures are essential to minimize risks and improve patients' clinical outcomes. This descriptive work is based on a literature review of articles published in the last five years, aiming to identify nursing actions in the prevention of HAIs in ICUs. It concludes that the adoption of standardized preventive measures and staff awareness are essential to reduce the incidence of these infections, contributing to patient safety and the efficiency of healthcare systems.

ENTRE O DIAGNÓSTICO E O CUIDADO: A ATUAÇÃO DA ENFERMAGEM DIANTE DE CASOS POSSÍVEIS DE COVID-19

A pandemia de COVID-19 expôs desafios críticos para a enfermagem, incluindo sobrecarga de trabalho (87,5% dos profissionais afetados), escassez de EPIs (65% dos casos) e impactos severos na saúde mental (60% com burnout). Apesar disso, a categoria respondeu com inovações como a reestruturação de fluxos hospitalares, teleenfermagem e capacitação emergencial em UTIs. Estudos revelam que 78% das instituições adotaram protocolos padronizados, mas apenas 54% dos profissionais receberam treinamento contínuo. As lições aprendidas destacam a necessidade de: (1) investimentos em condições de trabalho (jornadas de 30 horas, estoques de EPIs); (2) integração entre pesquisa e prática clínica; e (3) currículos acadêmicos com simulações de crises. A humanização do cuidado, mesmo com restrições, foi essencial, utilizando estratégias como comunicação virtual com familiares. Conclui-se que a enfermagem, apesar das adversidades, fortaleceu seu papel na saúde pública, exigindo agora políticas que institucionalizem as adaptações bem-sucedidas para futuras emergências.

A RELAÇÃO DOS ADOLESCENTES INFRATORES COM A FALTA DE RECURSOS NO ÂMBITO FAMILIAR

O presente artigo tem como objetivo explorar e analisar a relação entre adolescentes infratores e a carência de recursos no âmbito familiar, destacando relativamente o funcionamento das medidas socioeducativas e também a importância da reintegração social dos adolescentes e jovens em conflito com a lei para a convivência em sociedade. O estudo também examina o impacto negativo que a vulnerabilidade social desempenha na formação de crianças e adolescentes. Através de pesquisas de campo e análise, conclui-se que, apesar das constantes atualizações do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente para promover melhorias, os direitos dessas populações ainda são frequentemente negligenciados e não aplicados de forma unânime e eficaz.

CARACTERIZAÇÃO DOS PARTOS E NASCIDOS VIVOS DE MÃES RESIDENTES NO MUNICÍPIO DE PINHEIRO, MARANHÃO

Objetivou-se caracterizar os nascimentos
e nascidos vivos de mães residentes no município de Pinheiro, Maranhão, Brasil.
Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e quantitativo. Foram utilizados dados das
Declarações de Nascidos Vivos (DNV), referentes ao período de 2018 a 2022,
obtidos do banco de dados do Sistema de Informações sobre Nascidos Vivos
(SINASC) disponibilizado pelo Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de
Saúde (DATASUS). No período analisado, foram identificados 7.333 nascidos vivos,
destacando-se o ano de 2018 com 1.637 nascimentos. As maiores frequências
ocorreram entre mães com idade entre 20 e 29 anos (53,2%), com 8 a 11 anos de
estudo (76,8%), em união consensual (51,3%), que realizaram 7 ou mais
consultas de pré-natal (41,8%), partos a termo (89,5%), partos vaginais (56,4%),
gestações únicas (98,5%) e partos hospitalares (94,7%). Quanto às características dos
nascidos vivos, houve predomínio de recém-nascidos do sexo masculino (50,7%), raça/cor parda
(90,2%), peso ao nascer maior que 2500g (86,1%), Apgar de 1º e 5º minuto de
8 a 10 (90,6% e 94,3%) respectivamente, e ausência de anomalias congênitas
(98,9%). Os resultados permitiram caracterizar os partos e nascidos vivos do
município em estudo, podendo servir de subsídio para avaliação da
realidade epidemiológica local e planejamento de ações estratégicas na área da
saúde da mulher e da criança que impactem diretamente nos indicadores de saúde
materno-infantil.

O IMPACTO DA TECNOLOGIA NA LEITURA NO ENSINO SUPERIOR

This article investigates the impacts of digital technologies on the reading habits of students enrolled in the Pedagogy course at the Faculdade de Ensino Superior de Linhares (FACELI). Reading practice, essential for academic and critical development, has been deeply influenced by the advent of digital media, which, while democratizing access to information, also introduces new challenges such as attention fragmentation and superficial reading. The research was conducted through a questionnaire sent to all enrolled students, resulting in 21 responses. The results indicate that, although technology provides practicality and expands research sources, it also encourages dispersion, quick reading, and often the consumption of superficial content. The theoretical analysis, based on authors such as Pierre Lévy, Maryanne Wolf, and Roger Chartier, emphasizes the need for a critical view of the use of technologies in teacher training, valuing practices that stimulate deep and reflective reading. It is concluded that, despite the challenges imposed by the digital era, technologies, when used with pedagogical intentionality, can be powerful allies in knowledge construction and in the development of reading competence.

OT-DRIVEN OPTIMIZATION OF SELF-SUFFICIENT SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS THROUGH METEOROLOGICAL DATA INTEGRATION

Over two million Brazilians lack access to electricity, as reported by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Meanwhile, a significant portion of the population reliant on hydroelectric power faces recurring energy price hikes driven by water scarcity and systemic mismanagement. Decentralized solar energy systems offer a promising alternative; however, their intermittent nature due to seasonal variability can compromise reliability for off-grid users. To address this challenge, this study proposes an IoT-enabled embedded system that integrates meteorological data with a solar radiation prediction algorithm. The system dynamically correlates energy generation forecasts with consumption patterns to provide real-time recommendations for optimized usage, empowering users to adjust consumption proactively. During testing, the algorithm demonstrated strong alignment between predicted and actual solar energy generation, highlighting its potential to enhance energy resilience in off-grid scenarios.

Perceptions of challenges in treating dentoalveolar trauma: a cross-sectional study with primary care dentists from the SUS in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro

Traumatic dental injury (TDI) stands as one of the most prevalent dental emergencies in Primary Health Care (PHC), requiring immediate and competent clinical management to prevent functional, aesthetic, and psychosocial sequelae. This cross-sectional study aimed to identify the main challenges faced by dentists working in Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) regarding TDI management in public primary care units in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. Data were collected through a structured electronic questionnaire completed by 27 professionals. Results showed that 92.6% of facilities frequently lacked essential materials and equipment, and only 18.5% of professionals systematically applied clinical protocols. Additionally, 85.2% received no financial support for continuing education, and 59.3% bore full responsibility for their professional development. Interprofessional collaboration was deemed insufficient by 33.3% of participants, and 88.9% reported the absence of institutional training on TDI. The study concludes that urgent public health policies are required to strengthen the SUS dental care network by promoting integrated strategies among managers, health professionals, and academic institutions, ensuring equity and quality in TDI care.

Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is an autoimmune pathology characterized as an acute inflammatory polyradiculoneuritis of rapid progression, which results in the loss of myelin from peripheral nerves. Its main complication is ascending muscle weakness, the cause of which is not yet fully known. However, there is strong evidence of a correlation with the existence of a previous infectious process, whether viral or bacterial. It is a very worrying pathology, since such ancestry tends to compromise the respiratory muscles, thus hindering the process of full recovery without complications associated with the condition. It is a rare pathology that for a long time was believed to be purely demyelinating, but currently axonal forms of the disease are recognized, responsible for a range of physiological complications and autonomous functions. This is a qualitative research that used bibliographic review as an instrument to search for information. The search was carried out in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), PubMed, Periódicos CAPS and search engine sites through Scholar Google. Through the bibliographical research carried out, answers were established to the objective of the article, which is to inform future health professionals and nurses, what are the attitudes, skills and systematization of nurses' care for patients with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

Nursing Care in Psychiatric Units: Challenges and Strategies

The strategies aim to involve continuous training of healthcare teams and the creation of therapeutic environments that can offer safety and comfort to patients, thus providing more effective care and improving the quality of life of psychiatric patients.

Abstract

Introduction: This article highlights the role of AI and its proposal as a complementary tool in daily nursing practice, with the most relevant aspects of the theme. General objective: To better describe how these new AI technologies can be used in nursing in comprehensive care, as a complementary tool. Method: It consists of an integrative literature review, with 10 (articles) selected from the last 5 (five) years, in the databases: LILACS, MEDLINE and BV SALUD. Results: The research findings reveal that the assistance of AI in nursing practice contributes to support, triage, monitoring and other nursing procedures, however, in a complementary way and not a substitute for human treatment. Discussion: Undeniably, the advancement of AI has been gradually growing in the area of health and nursing, which requires a greater balance between technology and humanized treatment, so that the care provided is effective, with quality and based on the process of humanization and ethical precepts. Conclusion: AI contributes several benefits to nursing practice, however, even with its benefits there is no possibility of promoting humanized treatment, therefore, the need for harmony between its use and the quality of human treatment is reflected, together with ethical precepts, a holistic view and the need for continuing education.

ACESSO E OFERTA DE TRATAMENTOS ORTODÔNTICOS NA REDE PÚBLICA DE SAÚDE

RESUMO

O artigo aborda a integração da ortodontia ao Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) e seu impacto na promoção da saúde bucal e qualidade de vida da população. A saúde como um direito garantido pela Constituição Federal e operacionalizado por meio do SUS, destacando a política pública "Brasil Sorridente" como marco para a inclusão da saúde bucal no cuidado integral. Aponta-se o crescimento da demanda por tratamentos ortodônticos, impulsionado por melhorias nos indicadores de saúde bucal e maior acesso a serviços odontológicos. O estudo propõe-se a compreender o papel da ortodontia no sistema público, caracterizando suas modalidades preventiva e interceptativa na atenção básica, analisando sua importância dentro do SUS e a necessidade de qualificação dos cirurgiões-dentistas. Essa pesquisa é uma revisão de literatura que aborda a evolução da política de saúde bucal no Brasil, desde a criação do SUS até a estruturação das Equipes de Saúde Bucal e dos Centros de Especialidades Odontológicas. Discute-se a relevância da ortodontia preventiva e interceptativa como estratégias eficazes no controle das más oclusões e as repercussões estéticas, funcionais, psicológicas e sociais dessas alterações. São explorados os principais fatores etiológicos das oclusopatias, a importância do diagnóstico precoce e os procedimentos clínicos mais comuns nas fases de dentição decídua e mista. Destaca-se ainda o impacto sociocultural da estética facial e a urgência da ampliação dos serviços ortodônticos no SUS. Embora a política pública tenha avançado, o artigo ressalta limitações estruturais e a carência de especialistas, com atendimento registrado em apenas 39 municípios brasileiros. Concluiu-se, então, que a integração da ortodontia ao SUS é essencial para garantir o cuidado integral em saúde bucal, devendo contemplar prevenção, tratamento e suporte psicossocial. A qualificação profissional e o fortalecimento de políticas públicas específicas são apontados como medidas fundamentais para suprir a demanda populacional e minimizar os impactos das más oclusões na vida dos indivíduos.

ABSTINÊNCIA DIGITAL NA EDUCAÇÃO E OS DESAFIOS DA HIPERCONECTIVIDADE

Introduction: The introduction of mobile devices in schools has transformed education, offering instant access to information and new forms of interaction. However, this insertion has also generated challenges, such as difficulty concentrating and impacts on students' mental health. Objective: To investigate the effects of hyperconnectivity and its impacts on public policy formulation for basic education. Method: This is a theoretical essay based on a critical review of the existing literature on the use of technologies in education and their impacts on mental health. Studies were developed that discuss the relationship between the use of mobile devices, concentration and emotional well-being, as well as educational policies related to restricting the use of cell phones. Results and Discussion: The results indicated that, although restricting the use of cell phones in schools contributed to greater student concentration and improved academic performance, it also caused symptoms of digital withdrawal, such as irritability, anxiety and difficulties adapting. It was highlighted that the combination of pedagogical strategies that promote focus and the development of socio-emotional skills is essential to mitigate these adverse effects. Final Considerations: The ban may be academically effective, but the psychological impacts must be taken into account, requiring the implementation of strategies that favor the emotional well-being of students, such as activities that promote adaptation to the absence of mobile devices and the strengthening of emotional skills.

FOOD AND NUTRITION ACTIONS EDUCATION ACTIONS IN SCHOOLS ASSISTED BY THE SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM (PSE) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MACEIÓ

The Food and Nutrition Education (FNE) aims to promote the health and quality of life of students in the public education system by integrating actions from the health and education sectors. NFE is fundamental in this context, contributing to the development of healthy eating habits. Objectives: To identify the schools assisted by the PSE in the municipality of Maceió; To quantify the schools that carried out NFE actions in 2023; To evaluate the profile of these actions and the frequency of their implementation; and to verify the presence of a nutritionist in the planning and execution of the actions. Material and Methods: This is a descriptive ecological study using secondary data from the Primary Health Care Information System (SISAB). NFE actions carried out in 2023 in schools served by the PSE in Maceió were analyzed. Data collection also included technical visits to the Municipal Health Department to understand the planning and execution processes of the actions. Data analysis followed stages of tabulation, validation, and interpretation, according to established methodologies. Results and Discussion: Out of the 251 schools in the municipality of Maceió, 109 are assisted by the PSE. In 2023 30 schools carried out NFE actions, totaling 139 interventions that benefited 4,151 students. It was observed that only 30% of the schools with NFE activities have Primary Health Care (PHC) coverage, which may limit the integration between health and education. The presence of a nutritionist is designated for every 10 to 15 schools, acting as technical support. The NFE actions used playful materials and included training for the teaching staff, although there are challenges related to the feeding of SISAB by health teams. To strengthen NFE actions in the PSE in Maceió, it is essential to expand PHC coverage in schools, ensure the adequate presence of nutrition professionals, and improve the registration and monitoring processes of activities.

APLICABILIDADE DO CONCRETO RECICLADO COMO ALTERNATIVA PARA A CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

Given the increasingly evident environmental impacts caused by civil construction activities, the adoption of sustainable strategies that help reduce the exploitation of natural resources and waste generation becomes imperative. In this context, the present article investigates the feasibility of recycled concrete as a sustainable and technically efficient solution for the construction sector. The analysis focuses on the properties of recycled aggregates derived from construction and demolition waste (CDW), comparing their performance with that of conventional materials. Topics such as mechanical strength, durability, economic viability, and environmental impacts are addressed, along with the limitations and potential applications in various types of projects. The findings show that, when properly processed and applied, recycled concrete can meet regulatory requirements, significantly contributing to the mitigation of environmental impacts and to the advancement of a circular economy in the construction industry.

PUBLIC POLICIES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION IN PORTO VELHO - RO

This article discusses public policies for environmental preservation in the municipality of Porto Velho, in the state of Rondônia. The aim is to understand which governmental actions have been established and how they have contributed to the maintenance and conservation of natural resources amidst constant social, economic, and cultural changes. The research is based on a qualitative approach with a bibliographic and documentary character, using environmental legislations—such as Law No. 1,224—master plans, data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), and reports from the Municipal Department of the Environment. These analyses show that, although there are normative proposals and specific actions aimed at environmental preservation in Porto Velho, such as reforestation projects, awareness campaigns, and the creation of protected areas, structural limitations are still observed in areas such as inspection, solid waste management, and the implementation of policies. Public policies often lack coordination among different levels of government and dialogue with the local population, which compromises their effectiveness. The study also highlights the importance of including traditional knowledge and local practices in environmental planning, valuing the cultural and ecological diversity of the Amazon region. In this sense, it is evident that the challenges for environmental preservation in Porto Velho require integrated actions, continuous planning, institutional strengthening, and active social participation in order to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources and environmental balance.

A PROTEÇÃO DO CONSUMIDOR NA PUBLICIDADE INFANTIL: DISCUSSÃO SOBRE AS REGRAS E LIMITES PARA PROPAGANDAS VOLTADAS PARA CRIANÇAS E O IMPACTO NO COMPORTAMENTO DO CONSUMO INFANTIL

O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de demonstrar as regras e limites para as propagandas voltadas ao público infantil, e o impacto no comportamento das crianças e adolescentes ao consumirem essa publicidade. O problema de pesquisa limita-se a responder o seguinte questionamento: qual seria a limitação e o entendimento jurisprudencial quanto à fiscalização para a publicidade infantil? Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, foi utilizado o método da revisão bibliográfica, por meio de um estudo da legislação aplicável, de livros e artigos científicos de importantes autores e da juisprudência atual sobre o assunto. O tema possui relevância pois, de acordo com a legislação aplicável, as publicidades devem obedecer limites quando são voltadas ao público infantil e, quando esses limites não são observados, várias são as consequências para as crianças, bem como, as empresas podem responder civilmente perante o Poder Judiciário. A conclusão que se chega é que os pais devem se atentar aos conteúdos que seus filhos acompanham na internet e em outros meios de propaganda, e o Poder Judiciário deve cada vez mais fazer cumprir os limites impostos pela Lei.

MAPEAMENTO DE PESQUISAS ENVOLVENDO O USO DO SCRATCH EM PROCESSOS DE ENSINO E APRENDIZAGEM

O presente artigo apresenta um mapeamento de pesquisas envolvendo o uso do Scratch em processos de ensino e aprendizagem, tanto na Educação Básica quanto no Ensino Superior, no período de 2019 a 2025, totalizando 42 trabalhos. O presente estudo de mapeamento teve como fonte de coleta de dados o portal de periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – CAPES. Procurou-se evidenciar como as pesquisas têm explorado o uso do Scratch em processos de ensino e aprendizagem na Educação Básica e Ensino Superior. As características marcantes dos trabalhos como o aspecto central de pesquisa, metodologias, principais resultados, entre outros aspectos, foram objetos de discussão. A metodologia utilizada para este artigo foi a exploratória, de cunho bibliográfico, que constituiu no mapeamento das pesquisas envolvendo o uso do Scratch. Os resultados desta pesquisa demonstram, de um modo geral, que a maior parte das pesquisas envolvem trabalhos no contexto da Educação Básica com a utilização do Scratch, assim como a formação docente inicial e continuada. Os resultados demonstram ainda que os recursos digitais, quando aliados a práticas pedagógicas conscientes, promovem inovação, engajamento e inclusão no ensino da Matemática.

RISCOS DE ACIDENTE VASCULAR CEREBRAL E INFARTO AGUDO DO MIOCÁRDIO ASSOCIADOS AO USO DE ANTICONCEPCIONAIS

Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) are widely recognized as one of the most effective and widely used reversible contraceptive methods worldwide. The cardiovascular risk associated with the use of COCs is even more significant in women who have additional risk factors, such as smoking, high blood pressure, obesity, and migraine. These factors, when combined with the use of hormonal contraceptives, amplify the risk of serious adverse events. To discuss the relationship between the use of oral contraceptives and the risks of stroke and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in women. This study is an integrative review of the literature. To answer the guiding question, a systematic search was carried out in scientific databases that included studies related to the topic. The databases chosen for the research were the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) and Pubmed. The search criteria involved the use of descriptors in Portuguese, combined with the Boolean operator AND to refine the results. After an exploratory analysis of readings and the applicability of the predetermined inclusion criteria, this research consisted of 08 scientific articles that accepted and contemplated the theme in question, as well as the previously established criteria. Hormonal contraceptives are among the most efficient reversible contraceptive methods available and used worldwide. Although estrogen is attributed to the risk of venous thromboembolism due to its frequent use, it has beneficial outcomes in reducing the risk of ovarian and endometrial cancer. Therefore, it is clear that hormonal contraceptives interfere with the homeostasis of the cardiovascular system and, therefore, the importance of an investigation prior to prescribing a hormonal contraceptive for the patient, which takes into account her individual cardiovascular risks, such as age, presence of comorbidities, smoking and family history.

Road transport is the most widely used form of transport in Brazil, with high density and flows compared to other modes. It is responsible for 65% of cargo transported and almost 95% of passengers (CNT, 2024). This scenario leads to a significant increase in irregular occupations in road right-of-way, causing social and environmental impacts that compromise road safety. This study reviews current standards and regulations that determine guidelines for the design, construction, and monitoring of these roads, aiming at compliance with safety and sustainability standards. The analysis also explores the application of remote sensing as an effective tool for traffic monitoring and management, contributing to the preservation of lanes and adjacent lots.

THE ROLE OF NURSES IN PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING COMPLICATIONS IN ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS: A LITERATURE REVIEW

The role of nurses in oncology care is fundamental for the prevention and control of complications, considering the specificities of this health condition. The literature highlights that cancer patients are subject to the consequences arising from the disease itself and from treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgeries, which can generate severe adverse effects, such as infections, hematological alterations, malnutrition, fatigue and emotional complications. Based on this information, this work is based on the form of a bibliographic review, exploring studies and scientific evidence that address the role of nurses in the prevention and control of complications in cancer patients, with the objective of identifying effective practices, challenges faced and strategies that can contribute to improving the care and quality of life of these patients. Thus, we know that nurses play a central role in surveillance, early identification of complications and implementation of preventive and therapeutic measures. Prevention actions include continuous monitoring of signs and symptoms, encouraging adherence to treatment, health education on home care and healthy habits, and promoting self-care. Furthermore, the management of adverse effects requires the application of specific care protocols, such as administration of medications to control nausea and pain management, care of catheters and venous accesses, and nutritional guidance to avoid malnutrition. Thus, the nurse also acts as a mediator, offering psychological support and integrating a multidisciplinary team to promote the patient's overall well-being. Through a holistic and evidence-based approach, the nurse's role is necessary to reduce risks, control complications and improve clinical trials and the quality of life of cancer patients, reinforcing the essential nature of nursing in the oncological context.

OS CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAFEM EM HEMOTERAPIA NA UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA NEONATAL

Introduction: Blood transfusion in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is an essential procedure for the survival of neonates who are in critical conditions. Objectives: To highlight the main precautions that nursing professionals should implement during blood transfusion in neonatal intensive care units, for the safety of the blood transfusion procedure in neonatal patients, addressing the challenges faced in clinical practice and the safety protocols necessary to ensure patient safety. Methodology: This is a bibliographic study, based on the analysis of institutional protocols, published scientific articles, current standards and guidelines, through qualitative research in virtual libraries, SciELO, VHL. Final Considerations: Care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) requires technical skill, scientific knowledge, supervision and humanization in the actions of the entire team from the nursing professional,aiming at the safety and well-being of the newborn, highlighting the importance of adherence to protocols and constant surveillance. The importance of adequate training and defined competencies for health professionals is emphasized, aiming at patient safety and the effectiveness of transfusion procedures.

A DEFENSORIA PÚBLICA E A ATUAÇÃO NO CONTEXTO DA SOLUÇÃO CONSENSUAL DE CONFLITOS – A CONCILIAÇÃO E A MEDIAÇÃO

O presente artigo aborda a evolução histórica dos conflitos humanos e os mecanismos desenvolvidos ao longo do tempo para sua resolução, com ênfase no papel do Estado e, especialmente, da Defensoria Pública no Brasil. A pesquisa destaca que, apesar do Judiciário ser tradicionalmente acionado como via oficial de justiça, sua morosidade, altos custos e distanciamento da população mais vulnerável têm incentivado a busca por meios alternativos de solução de conflitos. A Constituição Federal de 1988 consolida o direito de acesso gratuito à justiça e institucionaliza a Defensoria Pública como órgão essencial à função jurisdicional do Estado, voltado à promoção da equidade. Através dos Núcleos Especializados de Mediação e Conciliação, a Defensoria tem promove a resolução consensual de litígios, priorizando acordos extrajudiciais que oferecem celeridade, redução de custos e maior satisfação entre as partes envolvidas. Assim, evidencia-se a importância estratégica da Defensoria Pública na democratização do acesso à justiça e na construção de uma cultura de pacificação social.

Após aplicação de critérios de inclusão, foram selecionadas 12 dissertações de mestrado que abordavam o uso pedagógico das trilhas ecológicas no ensino básico. Nenhuma tese de doutorado foi incluída na análise, o que evidencia uma lacuna na produção acadêmica em níveis mais avançados de formação, sugerindo a necessidade de aprofundamento das investigações sobre o tema. De modo geral, os resultados indicam que os autores reconhecem as trilhas ecológicas interpretativas como estratégias pedagógicas eficazes para promover a Educação Ambiental, contribuindo para a sensibilização e o engajamento dos estudantes. Apesar do aumento do interesse acadêmico nos últimos anos, o número ainda restrito de estudos aponta para o potencial de expansão dessa abordagem, sobretudo no que se refere à consolidação das trilhas como recurso didático no ambiente escolar. Nesse contexto, os dados revelam um processo gradual de inserção das trilhas interpretativas nas práticas educativas voltadas à sustentabilidade, reforçando tanto sua relevância pedagógica quanto a necessidade de maior investimento em pesquisas que explorem essa temática em diferentes níveis da formação acadêmica.

Disregard of legal personality under the new bidding law

This article analyzes Law No. 14,133/2021, which reformulates the guidelines on public bidding and administrative contracts in Brazil, promoting innovations in favor of transparency, efficiency and the fight against corruption, which establishes the mandatory nature of public bidding and provides for situations in which its exemption or non-enforceability is permitted.

One of the highlights of the law is the disregard of legal personality, which aims to hold partners and administrators liable for unlawful acts committed within the structure of the company.

The article explores the administrative infractions and sanctions that can be imposed, highlighting the severity of the penalties, especially the declaration of unsuitability. To develop the research, the bibliographic review method was used, through a study of the applicable legislation, books and scientific articles by important authors and the current case law on the subject.

In conclusion, Law No. 14,133/2021 represents an advance in the integrity of public procurement, but its success will depend on careful application, balancing administrative efficiency and protection of individual rights.

Importance of inspection to prevent structural pathologies in civil works

Structural pathologies in civil engineering represent one of the main challenges in engineering,
compromising the safety, durability, and functionality of buildings. These pathological
manifestations can arise due to several factors, such as design flaws, execution errors,
inadequate use of materials, lack of maintenance, and environmental actions. One solution to this
problem is inspection. In view of this, the present study aimed to discuss the relevance of
inspection as a preventive tool against structural pathologies, analyzing its benefits and impacts
on the durability and safety of buildings. The methodology used was based on an integrative
literature review, based on scientific articles, theses, and journals. Data collection was carried out
through CAPES, Scielo, and Google Scholar databases, from 2019 to 2024. The results clearly
show that efficient inspection reduces the occurrence of structural pathologies, as it ensures that
technical standards and quality standards are correctly followed during all stages of construction.
On the other hand, the lack of supervision or its inefficient execution increases the risk of
structural failures, resulting in high corrective maintenance costs and putting user safety at risk.

ALÉM DOS BENZODIAZEPÍNICOS: LIMONENO E SEU POTENCIAL ANSIOLÍTICO REVELADO POR SIMULAÇÕES MOLECULARES

Natural products, especially secondary metabolites of essential oils and plant extracts, have gained prominence in pharmacological research due to their therapeutic effects associated with a more favorable safety profile compared to benzodiazepines (BZDs), widely used in the treatment of anxiety. Among these compounds, limonene stands out, a monocyclic monoterpene abundant in species of the Rutaceae family, with the potential to modulate central neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamic acid, all related to the regulation of anxiety. This study evaluated the anxiolytic potential of limonene through molecular docking simulations with the GABAa receptor, comparing its results with those of diazepam. The Hex 8.0.0 software was used to perform the molecular docking between limonene and the GABAa receptor (PDB ID: 4COF), and the methodology was validated with an additional simulation of diazepam. Molecular interactions and ligand positioning in the binding sites were analyzed using PyMOL 1.4.7. The results demonstrated that limonene showed affinity and selectivity for the same binding site as diazepam in the GABAa receptor, suggesting anxiolytic activity mediated by this receptor. These findings indicate that limonene can act as a positive allosteric modulator, with effects similar to those of BZDs, but possibly with fewer adverse effects. Based on the above, it is concluded that limonene is a promising candidate for the development of anxiolytic therapies based on natural compounds. However, in vivo and clinical studies are essential to confirm its efficacy and safety. The combination of computational and experimental approaches can accelerate its validation and broaden the perspectives of modern pharmacognosy.

ENDOMETRIOSIS: IMPACT ON QUALITY OF LIFE AND THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES FOR PATIENTS: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, affecting approximately 10% of women of reproductive age. This condition can lead to severe pain, infertility, and significant impairment of quality of life, in addition to impacting patients' physical, emotional, and social aspects. According to Santos et al. (2020), endometriosis is associated with debilitating symptoms, such as severe dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia, and bowel or urinary changes, which often result in limitations in daily life and absenteeism from work. The diagnosis of endometriosis still faces challenges, including the lack of noninvasive diagnostic methods and the long interval between the onset of symptoms and clinical confirmation, which can last up to seven years. Regarding therapeutic approaches, options include pharmacological treatment, such as the use of hormonal contraceptives and GnRH agonists, and surgical surgeries, indicated in more severe cases. Recent studies also highlight integrative therapies, such as physiotherapy, lifestyle changes and psychological support, which have proven effective in improving patients' quality of life (Oliveira; Ferreira, 2021). Based on this information, this work is structured as a bibliographic review, addressing the gathering, analysis and systematization of information from relevant studies in the scientific literature on the subject. This review encompasses the multiple impacts of endometriosis on women's lives, analyzing the available therapeutic strategies and advances in the management of the disease. The relevance of the topic is the growing recognition of endometriosis as a public health condition, requiring greater awareness, training of professionals and policies that ensure early diagnosis and adequate treatment. Promoting a multidisciplinary and personalized approach is essential to reduce patients' suffering, improve prognosis and provide a healthier and more productive life.

SCIENCE COMMUNICATION AND THE ANIME DUNGEON MESHI: THE USE OF AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA IN SCIENCE EDUCATION

The objective of this study is to analyze the content present in the work Dungeon Meshi and discuss the references to scientific concepts and science observed in the animation, evaluating its pedagogical potential as a tool for science communication. A qualitative study was conducted on the animation, documenting the moments in which scientific terms were mentioned, either through a character's speech or visually. These data were extracted and organized into a table according to the content, to be discussed with the references. In total, 18 excerpts were taken from the episodes, containing plot events that addressed the following topics: Ecology (5), Scientific Methodology (3), Cellular Biology (3), Taxonomy (2), Zoology (2), and Biotechnology (1). Therefore, it is concluded that the analyzed work presents a range of scientific concepts in its plot, which can be connected to the curriculum taught in the classroom and, as such, serve as a teaching resource. However, it is important to consider that, even though it is potentially a revolutionary technology for education, the technology itself should not overshadow the specific content.

IMPACT OF DELAYED CURATIVE ONCOLOGICAL TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH PROSTATE CANCER DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: STUDY AT THE HOSPITAL DAS CLÍNICAS OF UFG

The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed serious challenges on the public health system, significantly impacting the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, such as prostate cancer — the most common type among men. This study aims to analyze the effects of the pandemic on the delayed time between diagnosis and surgical treatment (radical prostatectomy) of patients treated at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Goiás (HC-UFG), between 2018 and 2023. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive, population-based study, with data obtained from the public TabNet/DATASUS platform. The results reveal considerable delays in the years 2021 and 2022, with less than half of the patients being operated on up to six months after diagnosis in these periods. The analysis indicates that such delays may have compromised oncological outcomes, especially in high-risk patients, as evidenced by previous studies. It is understood that the pandemic has exacerbated the weaknesses of the public health system, reinforcing the urgency for strategies that ensure the continuity of oncological care during health crises.

A conquista de direitos,como como os garantidos pela Lei nº11.340/2006(Lei Maria da Penha), buscar assegurar a liberdade de decisão sobre o proprio corpo, a proteção física e os direitos reprodutivos das mulheres, contemplando,em situações extremas, o acesso ao aborto legal e a oferta de assistencia pré-natlde excelencia. Entretanto, a violenciade obstetrica persiste como reflexo das desigualdades de genero,manifestando-se por meio de agressoes físicas,danos psicologicos e falhas no atendimento institucional, o que impacta negativamente a saude mental materna e dificulta o vinculo inicialentre mãe e bebe. A desinformação sobre os direitos das gestantes e a carencia de marcos legais efetivos ampliam o risco de abusos, Nesse contexto,aeducaçao em saude e a concientização a cerca dos direitos no periodo do parto se tornam ferramentas essenciais para empoderar as mulheres,permitindo que reinvidiquem uma assistencia pautada no respeito e na humanização. O trabalho ressalta a necissidade de trasformar a cultura presente nas práticas obstetricas,criando-se um ambiente em que a mulher se sinta protegida e ouvida. PERFIL SOCIODEMOGRÁFICO E NUTRICIONAL DOS PARTICIPANTES DO PROGRAMA MATURIDADE ATIVA

Objetivo: Relacionar o perfil sociodemográfico, o estado nutricional e o consumo alimentar dos participantes do Programa Maturidade Ativa de um município do Vale do Taquari, Rio Grande do Sul, a fim de conhecer o perfil desta população, de forma a aprimorar o planejamento das ações em saúde, bem como mostrar a importância do acompanhamento de um profissional nutricionista para o incentivo de hábitos alimentares saudáveis. Método: Estudo transversal, quantitativo e descritivo, realizado com 72 participantes adultos e idosos do Programa Maturidade Ativa oferecido pela Unidade Básica de Saúde do município. O perfil sociodemográfico foi avaliado com um questionário contendo dados pessoais de idade, sexo, estado civil, escolaridade, residência em zona rural ou urbana, moradia e renda familiar. O consumo alimentar foi avaliado com os Marcadores de Consumo Alimentar do Sistema de Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricional. O estado nutricional foi avaliado por meio do cálculo do Índice de Massa Corporal e o risco cardiovascular por meio da medida da circunferência da cintura (CC). Resultados: A maioria dos indivíduos apresentou idade maior de 60 anos, sexo feminino, casados ou em união estável, com ensino fundamental, residência na zona rural, em casa própria, renda familiar de um a dois salários mínimos, estado nutricional de obesidade e CC aumentada. A maioria não realizava refeições com o uso de eletrônicos, fazia as três refeições principais e o lanche da tarde, sendo consumidos alimentos do tipo feijão, frutas frescas, verduras e/ou legumes no dia anterior a coleta de dados. O consumo de macarrão instantâneo, salgadinhos de pacote ou biscoitos salgados foi significativamente associado ao sobrepeso e o sexo feminino à CC aumentada. Conclusão: O consumo de ultraprocessados foi associado ao sobrepeso ressaltando a importância da atuação do nutricionista neste grupo, a fim de melhorar a qualidade da alimentação, diminuindo a prevalência de obesidade e CC aumentada.

CRESCIMENTO INICIAL DA PIMENTEIRA-DO-REINO SOB DIFERENTES DOSES DE ADUBAÇÃO NPK EM AMBIENTE AMAZÔNICO

Black pepper is a plant of great economic importance, especially in the states of Pará and Espirito Santo, with Brazil being one of the largest black pepper producing countries in the world. In the Baião region of Pará, pepper growing is the main source of income for farmers. Due to the few studies related to the nutritional and water demands for the initial growth of black pepper, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different doses of NPK on the initial development of black pepper under two soil water regimes: excess and deficit. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted in Baião-PA, using a randomized block design (RBD), with treatments formed from four increasing doses of NPK fertilizer (T01 = 50%, T02 = 75%, T03 = 100% and T04 = 150%). The following morphological parameters were analyzed: plant height, stem diameter and development characteristics of orthotropic branches (number, length and diameter). The results indicated that, in excess water, moderate to high doses of NPK favored growth in height, stem diameter and branch diameter, although the greatest length of orthotropic branches occurred with the lowest dose applied. Under water deficit conditions, the lowest dose of NPK resulted in greater heights and stem diameter, while high doses promoted an increase in the length and diameter of orthotropic branches. Thus, it was concluded that in conditions of excess water in the soil, there are increases in plant height and in the diameters of the stem and orthotropic branches with high doses of NPK fertilizers in the black pepper crop. On the other hand, the use of low doses, in periods of water deficit, conditions better initial morphological characteristics to the plants, while high doses contribute to the better development of orthotropic branches.

INCORPORAÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS DA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL NO ORÇAMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL DE OBRAS

A indústria da construção é uma das mais significativas no que diz respeito ao uso intensivo de recursos naturais e à produção de resíduos sólidos. Diante desse cenário, a utilização de resíduos da construção civil (RCC) nos planejamentos orçamentários de obras se apresenta como uma alternativa eficaz para diminuir gastos e atenuar os danos ambientais. Esta pesquisa, com abordagem qualitativa e caráter exploratório, fundamenta-se em uma revisão de literatura composta por autores brasileiros e diretrizes técnicas normativas, com o intuito de examinar as possibilidades de reutilização do RCC em empreendimentos públicos e privados. Os achados revelam benefícios tanto econômicos quanto ecológicos decorrentes do emprego de materiais reciclados, além de evidenciar obstáculos normativos, culturais e operacionais que ainda precisam ser enfrentados para consolidar essa prática no setor.

SAFE SURGERY: NURSING AND PATIENT SAFETY DURING THE SURGICAL PROCEDURE

The concept of "safe surgery" encompasses a set of practices and protocols that aim to prevent complications and ensure the physical integrity of the patient. This includes correct patient identification, verification of necessary materials, and adherence to aesthetic procedures. Nursing is essential in implementing safety protocols, such as verifying the patient's identity, administering medications, and monitoring specific signs, which help detect potential complications before and during surgery. In addition, nurses actively collaborate in educating patients about the procedure and postoperative guidelines, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care. Studies show that adherence to safety measures, such as the use of surgical checklists, has contributed significantly to reducing medical errors, preventing adverse events, and improving the quality of care. The implementation of a safety culture that involves the entire team is essential to reduce risks during surgery and to promote a safer and more effective care environment. Based on this information, this study is based on a literature review, with the objective of analyzing and synthesizing the practices and protocols adopted by the nursing team to ensure patient safety during the surgical procedure. The research seeks to identify the main strategies used to minimize risks and complications, in addition to highlighting the importance of adherence to safety measures, such as surgical checklists, and the impact of nursing performance in reducing medical errors and adverse events. Through the literature review, we hope to offer a comprehensive view of safety practices in the surgical environment and provide support for the continuous improvement of health care.

A ESCOLA COMO LÓCUS DE UM AMBIENTE AFETIVO POSITIVO PARA CRIANÇAS NA TERCEIRA INFÃNCIA

Family and school are the social groups with which children create emotional bonds and develop socially. At school, children will have teachers as allies, who, by creating a stimulating, affectionate and welcoming environment, will allow children to express their ideas, feelings and emotions. The general objective of the research was to investigate the impact of a positive affective pedagogical practice on the learning of third-grade elementary school students. This is a qualitative, descriptive pedagogical intervention research with regard to objectives, carried out with a class of 23 children in the third grade of the Initial Years of Elementary School, 13 boys and 10 girls, aged between 8 and 9 years old, from a state elementary school located in a municipality on the western border of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Participant observation of the class was carried out with the aim of getting to know it better and being known. In the second week, based on the observations made, a project was drawn up with the intended pedagogical interventions (lesson plans) for the following two weeks. The interventions took place in the afternoon shift in May 2023, and the analysis of the activities carried out and other observations were recorded in a field diary. Photos and videos were also taken in order to document as much as possible the class's reaction to the interventions. The results showed that children learn and develop through interaction with the environment, with the teacher and with their classmates. The teacher is affectionate when she listens attentively to the child, following their learning process and thinking of different ways to propose pedagogical interventions, helping the child in their formative journey. A positive affective environment is the result of respectful interactions, attentive and sensitive listening, and planned activities.

TECHNOLOGY AND PUBLIC MANAGEMENT: PATHS TO THE MODERNIZATION OF SERVICES

This study analyzes the impacts of adopting a Software as a Service (SaaS) system in the Municipal Health Department of Estiva/MG, focusing on improving efficiency and service quality for citizens. The digital tool was developed to optimize the management of medical requests, allowing for the scanning of documents, the organization of a patient database, and the categorization of requested procedures such as consultations, exams, follow-ups, and surgeries. The methodology was based on qualitative research, including document analysis and direct observation of administrative routines. The results show improvements in internal organization, reduction of operational errors, and better control of backlogged demand. It is concluded that the adoption of digital solutions in local public management can significantly enhance service delivery when supported by planning, training, and institutional commitment.

CONDIÇÕES E ACESSO À SAÚDE BUCAL EM PESSOAS COM DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

A deficiência visual (DV), que compreende tanto a cegueira quanto a baixa visão, representa uma das principais limitações sensoriais no mundo, afetando milhões de pessoas e comprometendo significativamente sua qualidade de vida. No Brasil, a prevalência da DV é elevada, e seus impactos repercutem diretamente sobre a saúde bucal desses indivíduos, dificultando práticas básicas de higiene oral, o reconhecimento precoce de doenças bucais e o acesso aos serviços odontológicos. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar as condições de saúde bucal de pessoas com DV e os desafios enfrentados no atendimento odontológico, além de identificar estratégias de inclusão que favoreçam a equidade nos cuidados. A revisão de literatura demonstrou que a escassez de profissionais capacitados, barreiras arquitetônicas e a ausência de materiais educativos acessíveis dificultam a promoção da saúde bucal nessa população. Dentre as estratégias inclusivas destacam-se o uso de materiais em Braille, recursos táteis e auditivos, comunicação verbal adaptada, sinalização tátil, escovas com guias, cronômetros sonoros, bem como a instrução de cuidadores. O cirurgião-dentista desempenha papel fundamental na promoção da autonomia do paciente com DV, sendo essencial a sua qualificação para um atendimento humanizado e eficaz. Concluiu-se que a inclusão plena de pessoas com DV na atenção odontológica depende da integração de políticas públicas, adaptações físicas e pedagógicas, e da formação contínua dos profissionais de saúde bucal, assegurando, assim, o direito à saúde e à cidadania dessa população.

DO CORTE À VIDEOLAPAROSCOPIA: UMA DÉCADA DE TRANSFORMAÇÕES NA CIRURGIA BARIÁTRICA PELO SUS

INTRODUCTION: Surgical interventions, such as bariatric surgery, are often recommended for obesity, especially when other approaches—like lifestyle changes—fail. In Brazil, the Unified Health System (SUS) performs a large number of bariatric surgeries, most commonly indicated for morbid obesity (BMI ≥ 40), with Roux-en-Y gastric bypass being the most prevalent technique. Bariatric surgery has proven effective, but challenges such as complications, nutritional issues, and psychological adjustments require continuous monitoring. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive observational study with a quantitative approach was conducted using data from the SUS Hospital Information System (SIH-SUS) between 2014 and 2024. The data, collected from public and anonymized sources, were organized and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. RESULTS: The analysis revealed a significant shift toward minimally invasive techniques, especially laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Regional disparities in access to different types of procedures were identified, with most surgeries concentrated in the South and Southeast regions, to the detriment of the North and Center-West regions. CONCLUSION: The data reflect inequalities in access to high-complexity healthcare services, highlighting the need for public policies aimed at improving the distribution of these services across the country.

O Desafios no processo de escolarização do estudante surdo numa perspectiva inclusiva

RESUMO

O presente artigo aborda alguns desafios enfrentados pelo professor bilingue que atua diretamente com o estudante surdos no processo de escolarização em uma perspectiva inclusiva no município de Linhares - ES. A partir disso, levantamos como problema, saber quais são os desafios diante aos processos de escolarização de um estudante surdo matriculado no 9º ano do ensino fundamental, em uma escola da rede municipal de Linhares-ES? E como objetivo traçamos debater os desafios diante aos processos de escolarização de um estudante surdo. O estudo utilizou uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa, baseada em levantamento bibliográfico, pesquisa de campo e entrevistas semiestruturadas, com coleta e análise de dados dedutivos. Fundamentado em autores como Ronice Muller Quadros (1997), Maura Corcini Lopes (2023) e Ingrid Finger (2017), que tratam da aquisição da linguagem e inclusão de surdos no meio educacional. O estudo destaca a relevância do professor bilíngue como mediador pedagógico, essencial na adaptação de atividades e no fortalecimento da aprendizagem. Os resultados indicam que o desenvolvimento linguístico em Libras é fundamental para a inclusão efetiva dos estudantes surdos.

AUTOMEDICAÇÃO E MARKETING FARMACÊUTICO: A INFLUÊNCIA DA PUBLICIDADE NA VENDA DE MEDICAMENTOS SEM PRESCRIÇÃO

Abstract
This study analyzed the influence of pharmaceutical marketing on self-medication practices, focusing
on the advertising of over-the-counter drugs and its impact on public health. The objective was to
understand how marketing strategies encourage the indiscriminate consumption of pharmaceuticals,
leading to risks such as intoxication, chemical dependence, and drug resistance. The research was
based on a bibliographic review of scientific articles and recent academic studies, evaluating the
relationship between pharmaceutical advertising and its influence on the sale of medications without
medical prescription. The results indicated that persuasive advertising campaigns, broadcasted
through digital, television, and print media, emphasize the benefits of medications while downplaying
their risks, creating a false sense of security. Furthermore, the ease of access to over-the-counter
drugs reinforces the habit of self-medication, often without proper professional guidance. It is
concluded that the regulation of drug advertising should be improved to ensure more balanced and
transparent information, combined with strengthening the role of pharmacists as key agents in
promoting the rational use of medicines.

REPERCUSSION OF EARLY MOBILIZATION OF PATIENTS ON INVASIVE MECHANICAL VENTILATION: AN INTEGRATIVE LITERATURE REVIEW

Early mobilization of patients on invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) is a therapeutic strategy that has gained prominence in clinical practice due to its benefits in the intensive care stage. This study, based on an integrative literature review, analyzes the impacts of early mobilization, addressing its physiological effects, challenges, and scientific evidence that supports its application. Patients undergoing IMV often present complications such as ICU-acquired muscle weakness, decreased functional capacity, and increased length of hospital stay. Based on this information, this work is developed in the form of a literature review, with the objective of gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing the information available in the scientific literature on the subject, providing a solid basis for reflections and discussions about clinical practice and its developments. Early mobilization emerges as an effective intervention to mitigate these complications, promoting the preservation of muscle strength, improving spontaneous ventilation, and reducing dependence on mechanical ventilation. In addition, studies indicate that this practice contributes to reducing the length of ICU stay, hospital costs, and the consequences of complications associated with prolonged immobility. However, the implementation of early mobilization faces challenges such as the need for a trained multidisciplinary team, well-defined protocols, and monitoring specifically to ensure patient safety. In addition, factors such as excessive sedation, hemodynamic instability, and specific clinical conditions can limit the predictions of the intervention. The results of the review reinforce that early mobilization is a safe and effective practice, as long o it is performed individually and in accordance with the patient's clinical conditions. The research highlights the need for further studies that explore the protocols and their long-term benefits, expanding their adoption and standardization in the intensive care setting. In summary, early mobilization is a promising strategy for the recovery of critically ill patients, with the potential to transform clinical management in ICUs.

DIREITO PENAL JUVENIL E A RESSOCIALIZAÇÃO DOS ADOLESCENTES INFRATORES

O presente estudo tem como tema o Direito Penal Juvenil e sua relação com a ressocialização de adolescentes infratores, analisando os mecanismos legais e sociais que visam à reintegração desses jovens à sociedade. O objetivo central desta pesquisa é avaliar a efetividade das medidas socioeducativas previstas no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA), identificando os principais desafios e oportunidades para sua aplicação. Além disso, o trabalho investiga as causas estruturais da criminalidade juvenil, considerando fatores socioeconômicos, familiares, educacionais e a influência do ambiente no envolvimento de adolescentes com atos infracionais. Também são examinadas as condições das unidades socioeducativas, questionando se elas cumprem seu papel de promover a responsabilização e a reinserção social de maneira humanizada e eficaz. Metodologicamente, trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, fundamentada na

análise de livros, artigos científicos, revistas especializadas, relatórios oficiais e fontes digitais confiáveis. Os dados coletados demonstram que, apesar da importância das medidas socioeducativas, sua implementação enfrenta dificuldades estruturais, como falta de recursos, superlotação e deficiências na qualificação dos profissionais envolvidos. Tais limitações comprometem o potencial transformador dessas ações, exigindo reformulações para que possam atingir seus objetivos plenamente. Conclui-se que, para reduzir a reincidência e promover uma mudança efetiva na trajetória desses jovens, é indispensável o fortalecimento de políticas públicas intersetoriais. Isso inclui investimentos em educação de qualidade, capacitação profissional, acompanhamento psicossocial e apoio familiar, garantindo que os adolescentes tenham oportunidades reais de reconstruir suas vidas longe da marginalidade. A ressocialização não deve ser apenas uma responsabilidade do sistema jurídico, mas um compromisso coletivo, envolvendo Estado, sociedade e família na construção de um futuro mais justo e inclusivo.

A CRESCENTE JUDICIALIZAÇÃO DA SAÚDE PÚBLICA NO BRASIL: O PODER JUDICIÁRIO NO CONTEXTO DAS DEMANDAS DE SAÚDE

A saúde pública no Brasil evolui lentamente e frequentemente falha em atender de forma satisfatória as demandas primárias, resultando em longas filas de espero dentro dos contextos individuais de necessidades na saúde. Embora a Constituição Federal de 1988 assegure a saúde como direito de todos e dever do Estado, por meio de políticas que garantam acesso universal e igualitário, a realidade prática diverge desse ideal. O Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), apesar de seu papel essencial, sofre com sobrecarga, escassez de recursos e dificuldades na articulação entre as esferas federal, estadual e municipal, comprometendo sua efetividade. A judicialização da saúde, assim, emerge como resposta legítima diante da omissão estatal, refletindo não apenas uma demanda jurídica, mas também um fenômeno político e social que envolve a defesa da cidadania. A situação impõe um desafio urgente ao poder público: garantir a efetividade do direito à saúde por meio da concretização das diretrizes constitucionais do SUS.

EFEITO DO USO DE PROBIÓTICOS NA SINTOMATOLOGIA GASTROINTESTINAL DA DOENÇA CELÍACA: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA

Celiac disease (CD) is an autoimmune enteropathy triggered by gluten ingestion, leading to chronic inflammation of the small intestine and gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and bloating. The only known effective treatment is strict adherence to a gluten-free diet. However, some patients continue to experience gastrointestinal symptoms even with dietary restriction. In this context, probiotics have been investigated as a complementary strategy for modulating the gut microbiota and alleviating persistent symptoms in individuals with CD. This narrative review aims to analyze the available scientific evidence regarding the relationship between probiotic use and gastrointestinal symptoms in celiac patients. A comprehensive search was conducted in scientific databases to identify studies that evaluated the impact of probiotics on symptom relief and intestinal health in this population. The literature suggests that probiotics may contribute to the balance of gut microbiota, strengthening of the intestinal barrier, and reduction of pro-inflammatory responses. Some studies reported improvements in symptoms such as bloating and changes in bowel habits. However, the results are inconsistent, with great variability in study design, probiotic strains used, treatment duration, and patient profiles. This heterogeneity limits the ability to draw definitive conclusions about efficacy. Thus, the analyzed data suggest that the use of probiotics may represent an effective complementary nutritional approach in the management of celiac disease, especially in patients who continue to experience symptoms despite a gluten-free diet. However, their use should be guided by qualified healthcare professionals, considering individual needs, with the goal of modulating inflammatory responses, restoring microbiota balance, and improving quality of life.
